Autumn cycling around the delta of Po river
In a gloomy and rainy beginning of November I spent some few days in the southern delta of the Po, the biggest Italian river that flow in the Adriatic sea. Some years ago, in the same period of the year, I went cycling in the northern part, in the area of Rovigo, and I was literally fascinated by the atmosphere, the landscape, the multitude of birds and animals, the peculiar light and the human environment. This time, I decided to come back and to explore the southern part of the delta, in the area of Ferrara. I would have cycled for two days, but - because of the weather - I could only one day, but enjoyed two wonderful boat trips.
I hope this selection could give you an idea of this place, suspended in time and space.
