How & Wow is an exhibition promoted by The Craft Council of Netherland for the Dutch Design Week 2018. Three Dutch and Italian designers were called to experiment and interpretate the technique of Macramé.
The collection takes inspiration from the ancient roman bottles, amphorae and pilgrim's flask used to carry water and wine and often decorated with wicker weave. The project revisits these iconic objects, taking advantage of the technique of Macramè not just as decorative element but giving it the role to reveal the function of the three glass-blowed bottles, playing with joints and basic knots to create handles and lids using raffia and wool thread.
