Cinema graph Extended - Final Assignment

Cinemagraphs
On February 7th, 2009, ‘Black Saturday’ destroyed a little town called Marysville leaving it all black and burnt and leaving the people who survived distraught. 9 years later, this little town that has been working so hard on building the community and regrowth of the environment back, it has finally become the picturesque town that it once used to be.
I have focused my cinemagraphs on my project about ‘Black Saturday’ and through these cinemagraphs I have explored a couple elements from my project, such as Steavenson Falls, a once iconic tourist attraction for Marysville that stopped flowing for months after the fire and now seen in my cinemagraph the falls are thriving and is surrounded by nature and tourists. As for the second element in my project, I have introduced my Uncle Glen who was affected by ‘Black Saturday’, as he left everything; his house and all his personal belongings. This affected his thoughts of Marysville and decided he wouldn’t go back until 5 years later when he noticed how the town was progressing and even though looks different from before the fire, he saw that Marysville had its picturesqueness back and he said it felt like home again. Through my Uncle, I have connected myself to this place as it was once a holiday place where I would visit my Uncle and my Nan before the fires. My favourite spot was Steavenson Falls where I would hike and explore my surroundings. Till this day, Steavenson Falls is where I always seem to be drawn.
