A way to prevent having another massive bushfire like Black Saturday, there has been a strict ban on burning off in certain seasons as in the warmer times they can go astray and cause bushfires. Around the Yarra Valley area, there are a lot of signs stating what areas are strictly banned from burning off. End of winter start of spring is the time that everyone does start to burn off as they have accumulated a pile of wood, logs and branches to burn off. I have captured the ending of a small burn off, leaving just the smoke to sway around and dance with the environment.
