Urban Pigments is the result of a conceptual and photographic project that reflects on my impression on the city of Kamp-Lintfort. I had the idea to create a color fan to show that our seemingly grey and dull city is actually filled with vibrant colours. I took close up photos of colorful objects, which I then reduced to a color pixel on photoshop. To create a direct connection between the colors and the city, I decided to name each colour with their geographic coordinates so that people could track the location and see what the actual object is.
