I originally started out with the idea of sunny life for the sunny state, Queensland, but the idea evolved to focus on bright colours and the rainbow. The rainbow and bright colours came from Sunnylife Australia accessories and the association QUT has with LGBT. Sunnylife Australia has a lot of rainbow, neon, unicorn, animal, animals with wings, food and beverage themes to their products. The rainbow then led me down the path of thinking of the LGBT pride flag and the association with QUT and the support that QUT give the LGBT community. I created the front, back and sides in Illustrator, but created paint swatches of what the colours would look like in water colour. I wanted to add some texture to the piano, so I decided to make the top a mosaic and made the mosaic myself and placed it into the Illustrator file.
