When tasked with a project that I needed to represent illusion vs reality, I decided to photograph some portraiture work and recreate common cosmetic retouches that are presented in the media and in magazine standards. I focused primarily on smoothing out skin, eye color, eye shape and size, increasing of the lips, decreasing of the nose, waistline and bust changes, hair color, removing fly aways and blemishes. With different portraits I pushed the boundaries even further to show just how dramatic certain retouchers can be and just how ludicrous some retouching is.
