Cuesta AIDs Memorial

I used AutoCAD to lay down the line work for the Cuesta AIDs Memorial design. This allowed all pathways and bridges to be precisely sized.
After making the linework in AutoCAD I rendered the image in Photoshop. The pink trees are Western Redbuds that draw visitors into the site. These trees bring awareness to the AIDs epidemic through the pink colored flowers, the color of the AIDs foundation ribbon.
Above is a section of the central mounded recreational open space. This is one of the site features that is designed to uplift visitors spirits through promoting youthful activities.
Above is a section of the sunken memorial space, a peacful space for rememberance of those lost to the AIDs epidemic. The feature has two small ponds that are connected by a rill. The soothing sound of water moving down the rill bring visitors out of their hectic lives, and allow them to totally focus on why they are at this memorial.
