Prior to arriving in Alexandra Township, the children only had dirt fields
littered with trash and broken glass to play their games in.
Our inspiration came from a wide variety of sources, but our main influence was our in depth
studies of child development needs.
Other than the lawn, we used a completely low maintenance, drought tolerant plant palette.

The finished project had play elements for children of all ages. We implemented structures that challenged the
physical abilities and mental skills of the children while promoting creativity and social interaction.

quality of life for the children of Alexandra Township (located on the right).
