GOWS Redesign | Travel Sections
Goal: Bring the properties to fore front and create an easier, more seamless navigation experience for the user to find a property for their romantic getaway or wedding.
Assessment of original UI problems:
Problem: The 2 main focal points of the sections (navigation & properties) were displayed below the horizon line of all computers and tablet devices.
Solution: Move navigation/filtering options to upper right just below the page title. Recommend implementing this through out rest of site.
Problem: Conflicting navigation options for the user: When user entered they were presented with a list of metros to select from as well as a navigation module in the lower right.
Solution: Remove the list of metros and move navigation/filtering options to upper right just below the page title.
Problem: Properties were not accessible until the second or third page within the Honeymoon or Wedding Destination sections. (3 or more clicks from home page)
Solution: Display grid of properties on main/first page of each section pulling from all properties. Ideally display as a continuous scroll or provide a view more option.
