A picture is worth a thousand words

Back in 2016, a start-up in it's early age needed a website. I did the webdesign and front-end developement, and during the process, the lack of content of the homepage pushed me to draw illustrations. As often happens with the web: the site has since then changed it's design, but the illustrations survived.
The key visual represent the whole idea of the website : find books you'll love to read
I designed 4 'bookworms' characters to give life to the project
The user's profile was designed with the bookshelf in mind : The five cases represent the books you're reading at the moment, the books you already read, the books you have bought and want to read, the books you want to buy, and the books you have lended and you will probably never see again.
Each bookshelf cases had a special hover effect
Another illustration on the homepage.
Few illustrations drawn for the project
An example of simple and clean flat design page
Some vector icons and the mandatory placeholder for profile pictures
