LEAD THE WAY: LIVE WITH ANNIE & IZZIE
Donnie approached me to create the artwork for his latest hardcover book as he was looking for a different approach to presenting the illustrations he'd had created specifically for the @annie._.izzie Instagram feed. As they were created for social media, each image or brief set of images had their own narrative, rather than an entire book's worth of flowing, cohesive narrative, but he wanted to showcase all of this artwork in print rather than just online.
We agreed to show each image as a spread, using additional graphic details to help the young readers associate what they're seeing in print with social media platforms that they may be becoming aware of whilst promoting the overriding theme of being a leader, developing strength of character, having fun and expressing themselves rather than just following the pack.
