Bruja's Hall.

My first finished 3D scene as a school project, using Mental Ray for lights, materials and render. The proposal was to try to reproduce Hayden Zammit's Ruined Hallway, modeling it and imagining the parts that were not visible in the reference image. Later on we played with that scene learning how to use Mental Ray materials, and were give the freedom to add our own touches and models.

I decided to go for a night scene inside a ruined castle used by witches, playing around with the lights in the points of interest, like the cauldron in the end of the hall, the pumpkin or the bat's eyes. The night sky details were added later in Photoshop.
Little bat. Model turnaround.

Model in progress of a cute little bat for the Halloween scene. I would like to improve the paws wireframe and add a mouth, checking it is optimal for animation, and even thought on some game ideas to use it. I may get back to them in the future if I get the chance.
