'Hard to Reproduce'
The LPC is a boutique print-house specialising in printing extremely high-quality proof material in small quantities for a variety of applications. Their clients include other printers and advertising agencies/design studios. They wanted an identity of stature that reinforced the exclusivity and specialist nature of the company. My idea was to create an identity that was almost impossible for conventional litho printers to register and print perfectly - an intensely intricate and detailed full colour identity that represented the ‘olde worlde’ qualities of the name. Thus every piece of communication they produced with their identity on it was immediately representative in a true sense of the quality and precision of their work.
This was then followed through onto extravagant stationary that was printed in full colour on both sides, because when your client is a printer you can do that.
