Project description:
A custom designed residence, located thirty two feet above the water, along the ledge of a limestone swimming quarry. This private residence, located in Northwest Ohio, was an exciting architectural and engineering challenge. The Owners asked for their home be contemporary, with a distinct modern and southwestern influence. The architect specified the use of sea foam green accent glass to reflect the clear aquamarine water below.
The consistent angle carried throughout the entire residence is parallel to the rim of the quarry. The main stair is encased in glass, emitting natural light and breathtaking views. Large cantilevered balconies jet out from the main structure, symbolizing the horizontal layers of the limestone quarry on which this home is to firmly stand.
