"(...) When I was making these prints I was interested in a certain type of picture, one I was identified with painters like Caravaggio and Velazquez. In that type of thing, the figures are in the foreground, they are close to the picture surface. Behind them, there is a space, background. Surreal and distressing atmosphere and tension between figure on the foreground and viewer was essential for this print."
