Project made during a London College of Communication optional workshop entitled "Sound & Vision" run by Russell Bestley and John Bateson. The brief for the final output was to package a musical event (and a band). I chose the last performance in London of Rammstein, a German metal band. The design was thought to evoke the war-like experience of watching Rammstein playing live and their martial and macho attitude on stage. Rammstein's songs and performances are incredibly strong and powerful, a loud heavy metal bullet straight to the head of the spectators. This idea suggested the idea to build an ammo inside which every song is a bullet, and also gave the name to the whole project ("kugel" means bullet).
Inside the case there is a CD and a DVD. The first one is actually a fully Rammstein branded blank CD on which to write the personal best of the band: in every "best of" album there is a song that a true fan of the band wouldn't have put, and spectators waits the whole duration of the concert to cry during their favourite song. This is an opportunity to select those songs from an internet database and put them all together in a unique special edition. There is a special code printed into each pack that gives access to that database. The DVD contains the video of the concert at O2 Arena.
