The three emblematic works of Samuel Beckett inspired the illustration of the covers by their cynical nihilistic approach towards life and death and by the prominent theme of the loneliness of modern man. The architectural aesthetic of empty vast spaces and a sole figure strolling around are aiming towards a reflection of the author’s unique style. Bold primary colours and contrast lighting have been used for the purpose of depicting the shock factor and the paradox feeling that a reader is experiencing through the words of Beckett. A thin, slightly deformed, sans serif typography is juxtaposed to the images giving them the protagonistic role and adjusting to the angles of the building elements.
