3D Illustration | Photorealism
3D projects can fall into many categories from cell rendered cartoon styles, to photorealistic renderings of products that are indistinguishable from their real world counterparts. Considering CGI over photography isn't always feasible, but when consideration is given to the flexibility of being able to edit lighting, camera position, and even texture after the shot is rendered—the linear restrictions of a typical photoshoot are removed. The workflow can remain open from the layout application all the way back to the camera in the software. For example, the depth of field could be adjusted, the camera lens changed, the lights repositioned, and the texture of an object edited to catch more rim light—all within a few minutes.
