Kaiser Permanente — Various websites

As freelance designer with Kaiser Permanente Multimedia (recently renamed The Studio) I was responsible for design and art direction on numerousinternal and consumer facing KP websites, as well as pages for Kaiser Permanente's community initiatives and educational divisions.
All the pages were designed to follow Kaiser Permanente's corporate visual guidelines which include the use of a pre determined font and color palette, yet have an individual look, feel and strong identity. A strong favorite of mine is the Life Integration Health Transformation website, was a proposal for a forward looking KP website which was meant to present a shift to more holistic approach to healthcare. The project ultimately got lost in the shuffle of corporate reorganization and left unfinished.
A close second was the page created for KP's Department of Research & Evaluation. The design brief was find a way to organize all the their content but also "try to not make it look like most research pages" which tend to be very text heavy, hard to navigate and intimidating. It was developed in collaboration with researchers who were very interested in an easy to update online property that could not only serve as a repository for papers and findings, but also provide staff listings, news and feature notable achievement by researchers. Through closely working with the client and programmer, we collaborated on the best possible user experience and page architechture which was routinely fine tuned by users within the department and colleagues who provided feedback.
