Norient, a Swiss based research center specializing in examining global trends in music and culture, commissioned me to create a visual interpretation of a quote from their book, which would be used as a page layout, but also, printed as an oversized poster to be exhibited at their music festival.

I choose the parakeet as the main graphic for this poster, because I consider it a symbol of how the exotic can become familiar. As a side effect of globalization, music genres are migrating around the world, becoming adopted in places far from where thet originated, and being transformed to go out into the world again, in a unending cycle.
