SCHAEFER 620 - PININFARINA
An innovative partnership between design and technology.
Created in the 1930’s, the Italian brand Pininfarina has become unforgettable for its Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo models, which have fascinated the world. Now, in partnership with Schaefer Yachts, the brand has developed an exclusive and innovative project for national boats: the Schaefer 620 Pininfarina. The model distinguishes itself for its clean-designed, modern and sports interior, which is connected to the Brazilian shipyard’s traditional engineering.
The "Schaefer 620 Pininfarina" was launch in april of 2012, after 18 months of development. The yacht was entirely designed and manufactured in Brazil from early stages to minimal details following the concept from Pininfarina studio. My main role as a designer at that time was to transform and make the Pininfarina concept feasible. I was also responsible to produce the technical drawings and taking care of the CMF, colors, materials and finishes. Schaefer 620 Pininfarina has 62 feet (18 meters lenght) with 3 bedrooms, 3 toilets, living room, dining room, flybride and a big outside area.
I worked for Schaefer Yachts for 3 years, (between 2010 to 2013) and over that period 5 "Schaefer 620 Pininfarina" special edition were manufactured, being a success in the market.
