DOVETAIL FURNITURE
Established in 1985 in Bangalore India, Dovetail has the expertise and capability to design, build and deliver furniture and fixtures for retail spaces, schools, institutions and homes.
Dovetail stands for making good design happen in the form of well-made products that are desirable, affordable, and usable - participating in the evolution of design as a collaborator and business partner. Design development, prototyping, manufacture, pan India delivery and installation form a seamless service that we offer to our customers who value quality and reliability.
I joined Dovetail as Senior Designer and manager of the design team. I was responsible for the school and home segment, as well for the special office furniture projects. Over a period of 14 months (from December of 2016 to January of 2018) we worked in the new collection of School Furniture lauched oficially in 2018 and designed as well products for the other segments of the company such as office furniture and home furniture. My team also designed the new experience centre of the company, to display the entire collection of products developted by us and the retail design team.
SCHOOL FURNITURE
Being very strong in the school market, Dovetail came up with the idea of renew their catalogue of products, creating new sets and combos, alongside with single pieces of school furniture to meet the new market demands in India. Over a period of one year we developted more than 30 new prototypes besides working on special projects for different schools, customizing and creating personalized products. We worked on new sets (chair and desk) starting with basic sets, to standard and premium sets, combos (chair and desk as a single product) and single furniture pieces. Bellow is possible to see 10 products lauched in the market, combos and single pieces, designed by me and my team.
