DNV were approached by a member of the royal family in Dubai to design and class his private yacht, and we were given the task of developing a logo and user manual with European and Arabian influences. The logo is Arabian calligraphy and means “oasis,” while the sea, the sunrise and the sky in the United Arab Emirates inspire the colour coding. In the user manual we employed graphical elements derived from tiles.
