A grassroots organization, Impact 100 Richmond consists of approximately 300 women in the Richmond, Virginia, area who come together to empower local nonprofit organizations through collective giving. Through its grant program, the organization has contributed more than $1 million to local nonprofit organizations since 2009.

Impact 100 Richmond funds organizations that work in areas ranging from arts and education to health and environmental conservation. To qualify for funding, organizations must demonstrate that their projects have potential to make a long-term impact on the community and to continue building capital. The organization also prioritizes programs that demonstrate measurable goals as well as new programs or modifications of existing programs that are designed to transform operations.

A volunteer-operated organization, Impact 100 Virginia relies on the help of individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the community. Volunteers contribute by helping plan events, reviewing grant applications, and preparing news releases.
