Radiation oncologist Dr. Laurie Cuttino currently works at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Medical Center, where she serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology. As a clinician, she maintains specific interests in internal radiotherapy (also known as brachytherapy) and in the treatment and management of gynecologic, thoracic, breast, and pediatric tumors. As a researcher, Dr. Laurie Cuttino conducts studies in a wide range of topics, including radiobiological modeling and partial breast irradiation.

Dr. Cuttino earned a medical degree from VCU School of Medicine in 2001. Conducting her internship in internal medicine at VCU, she performed her residency in radiation oncology at the VCU Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. She also has completed fellowship training in brachytherapy at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and the Seattle Prostate Institute at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. She joined VCU’s teaching staff in 2006.

Accredited by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Cuttino maintains membership in several professional societies. She currently serves in the American Society of Radiation Oncology and the American College of Radiology, among other organizations. Read Less
