OPPORTUNITY The object of this project was to create a DVD series about four, modern graphic designers. The DVDs are created under the label, Plexifilm. SOLUTION The Masters of Postmodernism series includes James Victore, Art Chantry, Peter Saville, and Stefan Sagmeister. These four designers are unique, but similar in that they have a rebellious spirit and passion for design. Each of the designers use typography in interesting ways, so I decided to focus on that aspect of their work by hand drawing type derived from one of their artworks, with the actual artwork inside the lettering. The inside of the DVDs are colorful and include a DVD with the same artwork on the label. Each pamphlet inside includes a quote and color that accurately describes the designer. Behind the disc is a photo of the artist so that the viewer can directly associate the designer with his work. *Plexifilm is an independent film production company that specializes in documentary films. OPPORTUNITY
Create a DVD series about four, modern graphic designers, including Art Chantry, James Victore, Peter Saville, and Stefan Sagmeister.

SOLUTION
These four designers are unique, but also similar because they have intentionally broken away from standard design principles. Each of the designers have a rebellious spirit and use typography in interesting ways; therefore, the DVD covers focus on these aspects of their work. Each cover features hand drawn type derived from the artist’s work, and includes the actual artwork inside the letter form and on the disc label. The DVD cases include a color and an original quote that defines the designer’s personality. Behind the disc is a photo of the artist so that the viewer can directly associate the designer with his work.
