Oceania (Stage 1)

These are "Cart Maps" for the Absen X5 LED panels. Each cart can contain up to 36 panels and comes in 4 sections of 3x3 grids. In order to expedite the load in process, we "unfold" the data flow maps and plan our signal and power paths before beginning shop prep. We then use these maps throughout the prep and load in process to keep track of where we are in the wall builds. With roughly 700 panels needed for this stage, we had to stay extremely organized.
Our signal flow map for Stage 1. Due to budget constraints, we were unable to rent a Barco E2 switching system that is typical of large festival rigs such as this. We used a combination of Fx4 HDMI distributors and Barco Image Pro IIs to accommodate a variety of VJs and artists with their own unique production needs.
The Upstage Center wall was a "wing" style concave design held together by 10 degree curving brackets.
