For Luminale 2018 I teamed up with Alexander Trattler of URBANSCREEN to create an illumination of the giant »Großmarkthalle«, that is now part of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt am Main.
In an interdisciplinary working process, we brought together hand-drawn illustrations, 2D- and 3D-computer animations and a sound design by Janis E. Müller, turning this building into a colorful 200 meters wide urban canvas. All illustrations were drawn by hand on an iPad Pro. To make animation easier, I created all artworks as layered vector files. What at first sight may seem like a static street art piece eventually comes to life and transforms the complex facade that has been remodeled by Coop Himmelb(l)au in 2014.
