G O A L
The main goal I have set for my reel is making sure that the content within it is my best work. I want to draw the viewer in and keep them drawn in from start to finish. Using a powerful song, I want the visuals to have a stronger feeling to it when being played with a strong soundtrack. Ultimately, I want to show all the hard work I've done throughout the course and outside of it, and showcase it all in this reel.

In my opinion, what makes a good demo reel is based on the content within it, and how you put together that content. The sole purpose of having a demo reel is to present your best work. Exclude the "it's good enough" work... this is the best of the best. Ultimately, I also believe that a good reel should be formatted nicely. Just like any other video, the viewer should easily be able to tell what is going on in it. The overall flow of the video should be nice as well. If it's too fast, or too slow, the viewer might just choose to move on because of that reason. They should be hooked from the start until finish. Structure includes many things, such as the cuts, the order of your clips, and the duration of the video as a whole. Being able to implement these well enough is what makes a good reel. Lastly, I believe that the music is a HUGE influence on the mood you're trying to convey. I've seen a few reels with really nice content, but the music doesn't cut it for me. It's a full ride. Video's, most especially a Demo Reel, needs all aspects to ensure that it can seal the deal and possibly land you a job in the industry.
