Info-graphic Project: How much Salt?

Info-graphic Project: How much Salt?
As part of my Graphic Design class, I was required to create an info-graphic that was 1024 pixels wide and as long as needed. We chose our own topic, and could use any resources necessary to complete the project. We needed to decide on who the target audience was and design it accordingly. I choose 10 year old elementary students with a high interest in physical science.

Color: As my topic dealt with salt and ocean, blue and white was a natural color scheme to go with. I created a blue gradient background that gradually becomes darker. The majority of the text is in black, with the final portion in white. I also used green sparingly, to highlight important parts.
Typography: I used two typographic fonts; Action Man and Neue Haas Grotesk. The former I used as the title and footer. The later I used as the main body text, with 65 medium as the header breaks.
Images: I used a variety of images free from the internet, as well as created a few of my own in illustrator.
After some user testing and feedback, this is the final result.
