Scoring a NASA Astronaut's Spacewalk

Scoring NASA Astronaut Randy Bresnik's Spacewalk
Video source: NASA, Randy Bresnik
Recently I came across this wonderful footage shot by a brave human named Randy Bresnik who was apparently just doing his regular job floating hundreds of miles above the planet. I was amazed by several things: firstly, by a simple fact that SH*T IS REAL — I mean, the Earth, the Universe, the Nothing — it's all really there, 24/7. It's like evolution happening to you in real time. Whew! Second thing that amazed me was the size of the aforementioned World — it all, with all of its problems and money and bitches, fits in one frame.

And, thirdly, I was amazed by silence. Obviously there's no sound in space. But what if we could hear the world? What would it sound like from up there, with all its panic and glory and modern history wrapped up in a shaky HD picture? Well, I guess, the only way to know is to try and imagine it. So that's what I did.

Dear NASA, please keep up the great job, and hopefully one day this view will become as common as leg selfie—
