THE CHALLENGE
Prior to 2010, TYPA of Taipei American School had an in-house built website that was difficult to maintain and was limited in its functionality. Over time the site had grown organically and information had become outdated and repetitive. The design and user experience did not reflect how the school was in reality, and TYPA needed a new site to showcase its strong academic program, outstanding student services and culture.
In addition, TYPA’s web presence is a critical information hub visited daily by parents needing to quickly access important information about school events and updates. Their previous website was difficult to navigate and cluttered with outdated information. On the administrative side, making even simple updates to the web site is expensive and slow. All changes require coordination with an outside web development vendor.
THE SOLUTION
Our goal was to simplify and modernize the new website design while creating a clear navigation and create information architecture with user needs in mind.
We revamp TYPA’s image as well by including video and pictures of students, teachers, and staff members. The result is a custom, beautifully branded website that will serve the school well for years to come.
