Craft & Kin
Barbers of Bristol
In this project, I was tasked with creating a brand identity for a Bristol Based barbers called Craft & Kin. They wanted a bran that would signify modernity in design and highlight their personal service. They wanted to avoid cliche and generic feeling designs, so no crossed barbers tools, no red, white and blue barbers poles etc.
Here I will highlight the steps I took in designing a new brand identity that would fit their needs.
Originally I focused on the Bristol Balloon Festival, a long running tradition and one of Bristol's biggest annual events, it is part of the city's heritage.
I later decided to create a highly professional logo that, in it's imagery, gave just enough information.
Here I have designed a business card which uses gold and silver embossing techniques to give a luxury look and feel.
A simple loyalty card which maintains the design language while remaining distinct. The gold stamps are collected for a free haircut in this render.

Renderings of the logo would appear on the shop front as well as signage.
