"Head in the Clouds" was a personal project that was as relaxing in frame as it was in execution. Between breaks with school, I often give myself personal projects to complete as a way to learn new skills and to further my understanding of my craft. This project in particular was a way for me to take my time on something just for me, therapeutically working in a quiet environment on an image that, in itself, portrays meditation and relaxation.

The subject of this image was shot on a blank wall with Profoto studio lighting gear. I used a combination of landscape photography and a variety of custom brushes to create the scene, as well as mask layers with various levels of transparencies to transform my composite into a double exposure image.
