This photo illustration was a pregnancy announcement that I shot for a family in my local area. I wanted to do something different and play off of the popular phrase "bun in the oven" in a clever and humorous way. The image had to tell the obvious story of a new family member on the way, but also stay true to who the family was in real life - a sweet, unique tripod full of love and excitement for their new addition. 

I shot the family in their quaint, two-bedroom apartment on a white wall in their living room. I used a Canon 6D, a canon speed light with wireless accessories, and a Joe McNally soft box modifier. In Photoshop, I combined a variety of stock images to build my oven and background scene and used simple channel masking to place the model family into the environment.
