VIKING LONGBOAT
This work is based on the Gokstad Longship, which is an actual viking ship located in a museum in Oslo. The ship is a 9th century ship which was built for warfare and transport, and was found on the west coast of Norway.

Some of the work presented here are in progress, where a final art piece at the size of 1x1,5m will be printed based on the front view, which to me stands to one of the most beautiful shapes amongst ship exteriors and angles.

The ship was carefully modeled in NX from reference pictures of the Gokstad Longship, and given a bit more imaginative texturing in KeyShot. The metal on the keel is not found on the original ship, as I gave this little extra for artistic reasons.
