InTouch: Volunteering Befriending App
App Design
This brief challenged us to create a platform for volunteers and those being befriended. We created InTouch, an application designed to enhance the relationship between these two individuals. When volunteers sign up for the befriending service through AgeUK, they will be given an individual user ID number and are able to create a profile. The profiles of the befriender and befriendee are linked automatically, meaning the individuals can get to know each other before meeting.
The app allows the two individuals to create shared memories together and store them in the journal. They can view these memories together or alone, and be reminded of the things that they have done together. Using the Planner, the individuals can set events together and will be notified when one of them makes a plan to meet. This helps to create a better friendship and connection between the two individuals. Be There. Be InTouch.
