In-store branding and packaging
The Challenge: With Puffs as my client, I had to create a Halloween-based style guide with characters, typefaces, a color palette, and patterns to be used as packaging on a Puffs tissue carton, as well as used in Target stores’ annual Halloween display.
The Solution: The branding guide was focused on the idea of a family of monsters. The concept is that they celebrate Halloween as the one time of the year they can be themselves, since everyone else would be dressed as monsters. I developed a family of seven quirky characters, called the Spooky Family, and a colorful palette that reflected Fall rather than the drab/scary Halloween colors. I portrayed the characters as light and playful to appeal to children, my key target audience.
