CLIENT: New York Alliance of Black School Educators [NYABSE]
ROLE: Logo Design, Brand Identify Design
BACKGROUND:
The New York Alliance of Black School Educators (NYAPSE) is a Brooklyn, New York based membership organization composed of K-12 teachers, principals, assistant principals, college professors, and university deans, whose mission is to challenge forces which obstruct the achievement, development, and educational opportunities of Black Youth and adults throughout the United States, and in particular, the metropolitan New York area.
CHALLENGE:
NYAPSE wanted to encourage membership and inform others of their mission. In order to achieve this, they tasked me with the creation of an engaging brand identity, including a logo, stationery, and other collateral.
SOLUTION:
Overall, the goal of the identity was to marry education with a feeling of optimism, boldness, and inclusiveness.
