CLIENT: Motive Candle Co.
ROLE: Logo Design, Packaging
BACKGROUND:
Motive Candle Co. is a small candle business born out of the pandemic. Motive's owner lost her sense of smell after a diagnosis of Covid-19. She longed to once again be able to smell the baked goods and desserts she had grown to love throughout her life. After recovering, she wanted to share the sweet smells that she once took for granted with others.
CHALLENGE:
To create a logo design that is classic, but a packaging design that is colorful and slightly vintage.
SOLUTION:
Motive's logo is a word mark with a flame, which creates depth using negative space. The packaging design color palette is vibrant, but mature. The vintage style illustrations also bring a comforting/homey energy to the designs.
