From mid-2017 to February 2018, I served as the project manager on the commute.com redesign. We focused on accessibility, ease of use, and creating portals for commuters and employers to find information relevant to their commuting habits. To do this, I assembled a team including staff in Boston and three web developers in Maryland.

To prepare for the launch, we held weekly design review meetings where we discussed progress over the past week, goals for the following, and reassessed any ideas that crept into "featuritis" through creating a ranking system of needs, nice-to-haves, want-to-haves, and not realistic.

Although the web developers created all of the coding for the website, I created the wireframes (above), determined the style guide for the website, and guided the layout decisions.

Having redesigned one other Wordpress website by myself, I was fortunate to go through the process of redoing this site with a team at the same time I took a UX class at MassArt. Through the classes, I learned how to structure my research questions from an empathetic viewpoint as I sat down with selected Employer Transportation Coordinators to see how they interacted with the site and tweaked the site based on their feedback.
