the US and China. Although the economic cost is measureable, the effect
on the environment is often overlooked.
This infographic was created to visualize some of the staggering numbers
associated with American consumerism that leads to environmental degradation.
Additionally, it is intended to bring attention to China’s recent
decision to tighten their recycling standards, which will amplify the waste
issue as fewer plastics will be reused.
