Все кто хоть раз был в Азии, знает, что Индия щедра на подарки и в буквальном смысле меняет людей. Вот почему свой 25 день рождения я собралась встретить в древнейшем и мистическом городе Варанаси. Я взяла в дорогу камеру и отправилась на встречу приключениям совсем одна.
Anyone who has ever been in Asia knows that India is generous with gifts and literally changes people. That's why I was going to meet my 25th birthday in the ancient and mystical city of Varanasi. I took the camera and went to a meeting with adventures all alone.
Священная река Ганг спускается с гор и движется сквозь всю страну. Каждый год сотни тысяч паломников съезжаются к еë берегам во всех регионах Индии. Для местных жителей это важнейшее место в городе.
The sacred Ganga river descends from the mountains and moves through the whole country. Every year hundreds of thousands of pilgrims come to its shores in all regions of India. For local residents this is the most important place in the city.
Утром люди выходят встречать рассвет к берегу - они молятся, умываются, работают, отдыхают. Приезжие здесь почти не купаются, а вот местные вполне.
In the morning people go out to meet the dawn on the shore - they pray, wash, work, rest. Visitors almost do not swim here, but the locals are.

Children play by the water and sell flowers for water rituals which sentimental tourists like so much.
Весной здесь очень жарко, температура поднимается до 40 градусов на солнце. Даже буйволы спешат в воду.
In the spring it is very hot here, the temperature rises to 40°C in the sun. Even the buffalos rush into the water.
