"Gabia", una familia de lámparas colgantes para la empresa de iluminación LuzFin.
LuzFin nos contó la historia de la empresa familiar de la que en estos momentos la segunda generación se hace cargo. Esta historia se remonta a la década de los ’80, y llega a nuestros días con una fuerte apuesta por la tecnología LED.
Gabia representa esta fuerte apuesta por el LED, integrado en los extremos de cada uno de los brazos que conforman la lámpara en formato tira.
Formalmente nos inspiramos en la alfarería tradicional catalana, de donde es originaria la empresa. Buscamos la corporeidad de la cerámica dibujándola con livianas lineas de metal y luz. Encontramos presencia y carácter.
“Gabia” is a serie of lamps made in cooperation with the light firm LuzFin.
LuzFin told us the story of the family business from which the second generation is now taking charge off. This story goes back to the '80s, and reflects nowadays to a strong involvement towards LED technology.
We got inspired by the traditional Catalan pottery, where the company has his origins from. We searched for the principal forms of the ceramics, finding a light and symmetric structure.
“Gabia” represents this strong commitment to LED by integrating the light into the ends of each of the arms.
