Task: Natural Motion Study

Plant: Sunflower

This task is about the natural motion study of a plant growth. It also requires us to use Adobe After Effects to produce the motion graphic video with the application of a sense of storyline. So, I selected sunflower for the plant because I love sunflower!

Sunflower is best grown in a sunny location just as the name says 'SUNflower'. The seeds are ideal to be sowed directly into the soil and just like other plants, water is needed. Also, give it a plenty of room to grow. Aware that not all of the seeds sowed are guaranteed to grow. Some may live and grow, and vice versa.

The graphics were created in Adobe Photoshop and some of them were directly created in Adobe After Effects such as the stem of the flower using the Pen Tool. The animation was created using key frames on the Position, Opacity, Scale, Paths and so on. My concept for this task is nostalgic and classic. Hence is why the vignetting and particles effect. It is somewhat nostalgic to me due to my experience in growing sunflowers.
