Task: Introduction to Adobe After Effects

Module: Motion Graphic Design (CC2222)

This task actually required us to choose either to do video tutorial A or B. Both videos are from Youtube tutorials. For my case, I selected video tutorial B which is the Animated Polygon by Video Copilot. The polygon must be modified such as the colours and shape. Also, I experimented the gradient and various things to expect different outputs. Here I show a total of 4 outputs that I created from the tutorial.

1. Angled (Original) with Time Remap

This is the composed animated polygon with the angled gradient. In this version, it is the most close to the tutorial in terms of the effects and animations. By that also means that I applied the time remap, where I adjusted from the curve graph.

2. Angled (Original) in Alternate Background and No Time Remap

This version is almost the same as the previous one but done in an alternate background and with no time remap applied.

3. Radial

As for this one, I changed the gradient to radial and added two more polygons behind the main one with different blending mode.

4. Reflected

This is one with the reflected gradient and I added four polygons just to make it a somewhat different as there is actually a lot more that can be done from the video tutorial.
