To continue my previous research, Field of Study Report: Labels, I would like to focus on the positive side of what “labelling” could bring out. During my research, I found out that a label for sexual orientation could positively help people to understand and speak up about their identities, in order to make people accept the diversity of sexual orientation.
There are three chapters. The first chapter is about proposing questions and findings; the second is about experimental visuals that I have conducted during the research; the third, last chapter, is to set up aims and objectives based on research for the final project.
The publication is constructed by two structures—Visual Summary and Proposal. By utilizing different colours and sizes of paper, it allows the readers to distinguish and browse back and forth. The smoky grey is the main body of the book and is mainly for images; whereas the yellow part is assigned for word-orientation, to contextualize the visual language in Visual Summary. Grey is the main colour chosen for the whole book, the idea comes from the ambiguous and grey area of sexual-orientation between homosexuality and heterosexuality.
延續先前的研究 Field of Study Report: Labels，進而探討標籤帶來的正向影響。而在我不斷找尋資料當中發現，性取向標籤能讓大家認識、瞭解，並進而可能地接受多元的性取向。
