L'ARÔME, meaning aroma in French: cohering all fragrances in one room, exquisitely diffuses its flavor to every corners, and gently embracing those who enter the room. Located in Taichung RedDot Hotel, Taiwan, the french restaurant constructs its identity through the studies on the philosophy of smell and the visualization of fragrances. The chef adepts traditional French recipes to constitute new sensual experience for taste. By utilizing and combining various local, yet exotic ingredients in his cuisine, the chef invents new, intoxicating flavors emerging from authentic french dinning.
The food texture imprints are the main elements that carried through the visual design language, which such textures insinuate the blooming fragrance throughout the restaurant. Corresponding to the elegant atmosphere, “Didot” is chosen by the design team as the logotype font that will highlighting the brand's sophisticated and modern personality. The three icons on the menu cover coincide the inner layout. They each signifies appetizer, entrée, and dessert. In addition, the wine list and a la carte menu are designed into two folded cards that will be more convenient for customers to read, and for the restaurant manager to reproduce whenever a new seasonal menus are introduced.
