memória e transformação - o documentário político na américa latina
ontem e hoje
Identity for the first South American political documentary festival organized in the Cinamateca Brasileira in São Paulo Brasil, with the collaboration of the Instituto Vladimir Herzog.

As this was the first political documentary festival and its aim was to begin to make order with all that happened with the dictatorships in South America, the identity was focused on confusion and fragmentation.
For the poster we decided to overprint various images randomly mixe and printed in a monochromatic red.
For the invitation the original idea was to buy some of the books that more represent this dramatic period, cut the spine and screen print the information on top of the pages, but in the end we scanned some pages from 4 books and printed them in offset.

As veias abertas da América Latina - Eduardo Galeano
Confesso que vivi - Pablo Neruda
K. - Bernardo Kucinski
Feliz ano velho - Marcelo Rubens Paiva
With the Institute we then decided to make an exposition of 100 illegal posters made during the dictatorship all over South America.
That entire collection of posters would later become the book "os cartazes dessa historia" (the poster of this history).
